Anti-inflammatory Effect of Silymarin on Ovarian Immunohistochemical Localization of TNF- Associated with Systemic Inflammation in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome International Journal of Morphology
Kayedpoor,Parvin; Mohamadi,Shima; Karimzadeh-Bardei,Latifeh; Nabiuni,Mohammad.
Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a) and interleukin (IL)-6, are prominent mediators of inflammation and have been confirmed to be elevated in at least a subgroup of women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). In this study, the effects of Silymarin (SLM) on the expression TNF-a, IL-6, CRP and symptoms of PCOS were studied. In this research, PCOS was induced by injection of Estradiol Valerate. PCOS rats were divided into control and experimental groups received intraperitoneal injection SLM extract daily. After syndrome induction, ovaries were collected for histological and immunohistochemical evaluations. Serum IL-6 was detected by the ELISA kit. The results indicated the significant reduction in inflammatory markers and significant changes follicular...

Effect of bee venom on IL-6, COX-2 and VEGF levels in polycystic ovarian syndrome induced in Wistar rats by estradiol valerate J. Venom. Anim. Toxins incl. Trop. Dis.
Karimzadeh,Latifeh; Nabiuni,Mohammad; Kouchesfehani,Homa Mohseni; Adham,Hamed; Bagheri,Amir; Sheikholeslami,Azar.
Background : Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a low-grade inflammatory disease characterized by hyperandrogenemia, hirsutism, chronic anovulation and vascular disorder. Interleukin-6 (IL-6), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) are triggered by inflammatory stimuli and lead to angiogenesis and pathogenesis of the ovary. Honeybee venom (HBV) contains an array of biologically active components possessing various pharmaceutical properties. This study was designed to assess the possibility of HBV application as an anti-inflammatory therapeutic agent to suppress levels of the main inflammatory mediators IL-6, COX-2 and VEGF. To induce PCOS, 1 mg of estradiol valerate (EV) per 100 g of body weight was subcutaneously (SC)...

Fetal Cerebrospinal Fluid Promotes Proliferation and Neural Differentiation of Stromal Mesenchymal Stem Cells Derived from Bone Marrow BABT
Shokohi,Rozmehr; Nabiuni,Mohammad; Moghaddam,Parisa; Irian,Saeed; Miyan,Jaleel A..
ABSTRACT Embryonic cerebrospinal fluid (E-CSF) contains many neurotrophic and growth factors, acts as a growth medium for cortical progenitors, and can modulate proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multipotential stem cells that can differentiate into several types of mesenchymal cells as well as nonmesenchymal cells, such as neural cells. In the present study, the effect of E-CSF on proliferation and neural differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) was investigated to test whether E-CSF is capable of driving these cells down the neuronal line. To verify the multipotential characteristics of BM-MSCs, the cells were analyzed for their osteogenic and adipogenic potential. Expression...

Gestational Diabetes Induces Pancreatic Beta-Cells Apoptosis in Adult Rat Offspring International Journal of Morphology
Nazari,Zahra; Nabiuni,Mohammad; Ghaffari,Soraya; Saeidi,Mohsen; Shahriyari,Alireza; Golalipour,Mohammad Jafar.
Several studies indicated that pancreatic ß-cell death occurs in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This experimental study was designed to determine the effect of gestational diabetes on the ß-cells in 16-week-old rat offspring. By this aim, adult Wistar rats aged 10-12 weeks were randomly allocated in control and diabetic groups. The diabetic group received 40 mg/kg/body weight of streptozotocin (STZ) on day zero of gestation. After delivery, diabetic offspring of GDM mothers and controls at the age of 16 weeks were sacrificed and pancreases harvested and fixed. The number of ß-cells and were counted by Gomori's method staining. Also, apoptosis in pancreas tissue of diabetic and control offspring was detected by TUNEL assay. Results showed a significant...
